Engine Mounts You will need specific engine mounts, there are at least two that I know of that are a simple bolt in mount. Just for info I have ended up using Tuff mounts for the engine mounts, and a regular rubber rear trans mount as a good compromise between longevity and harshness. A VY is best the pick if you can get one, as they have a little bit nicer baffling. You have three options that I know of. You can notch out the corners of the K member where it fouls, then weld in a strengthening strip; or you can trim the side plates plate and box it in thst what i did ; or you can trim back the corners of the actual sump, then tig weld it up.

Most guys mount them high up on the passenger foot well. I mounted mine in my glove box. Plug and play looms are available from a few different people just Google it. Lots of people have trouble with the fit of the CRS ones. Some people move the rack over, but you may have trouble being approved, if you can live with it going to a manual rack gives more clearance.

Update: I decided to swap to larger primary 4 into 1 headers when I changed to the glide, as even though I made rwhp with the Pacemakers, but they were choking it over 6k rpm. Nov 3, 2. If you're really serious about doing this, you should begin talking to an engineer before you start the conversion, that way you won't be double handling work and possibly your entire conversion if something doesn't comply.

He said it would have to run all vf running gear and the aibags might stop it from being legal. Seems weird but yeah. Nov 3, 4. There are a couple of loopholes The other option is a bit extreme, but if you modify the vehicle substantially we're talking major chassis alterations then you can get it certified as an Individually Constructed Vehicle ICVthat means you effectively become the manufacturer of the vehicle and it's deemed a new vehicle, this is good because all the modified vehicle crap doesn't apply, but bad because you now have to meet all the current ADRs, as if it was a model car.
